What's your background in ultimate? A couple friends brought me to our high school team's practice halfway through the season and I got thrown right into a scrimmage without having any idea what ultimate was. The start of the very next season, beginning of my sophomore year, I joined the team. I've played for Boulder High, a few summer leagues around town and have picked up for various leagues in the off seasons. And now I'm playing for Kali!

Why do role models matter? Role models matter because they give us someone to look up to, someone we can aim to be like. It's hard become something we haven't seen or been exposed to. Role models enable us to reach for things we might not have previously considered possible and then push beyond. They inspire us to create opportunities for ourselves and those around us.

What does equity mean to you? Equity is equality that is not simply split uniformly but instead takes background, situation and privilege into consideration. It helps level the playing field.

What's your favorite quote? "If the sky's the limit, why are there footprints on the moon?"
